Senior Associate Interior Designer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Associate Interior Designer to join our dynamic team in Dubai. This is for a Architectural studio. This role is pivotal in leading the development and execution of interior design concepts for prestigious projects across various sectors, including commercial, hospitality, residential, and mixed-use developments. The Senior Associate will also play a key role in the growth and strategic direction of the Interior Design department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Leadership: Lead the development and execution of innovative and high-quality interior design concepts that meet client objectives and project requirements, setting the creative vision for projects.
- Department Growth & Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to establish and grow the Interior Design department, including setting standards, processes, team structure, and contributing to the overall strategic direction of the department.
- Design Presentations: Create compelling and visually engaging design presentations, incorporating mood boards, material palettes, 3D visualizations, and other relevant presentation materials to effectively communicate design concepts.
- Design Documentation: Oversee the preparation of comprehensive design documentation, including space planning, FF&E specifications, construction drawings, and other technical documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Project Coordination: Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure design intent is maintained throughout the project lifecycle and projects are delivered successfully.
- Team Mentorship & Management: Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a collaborative, supportive, and innovative team culture. Provide leadership and guidance to the team, managing workloads and project assignments.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, materials, and technologies to ensure the delivery of cutting-edge design solutions.
- Business Development: Contribute to business development efforts by identifying and pursuing new project opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and assisting with proposals and presentations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in interior design, with at least 5 years in the UAE working with blue-chip developers.
- A strong and diverse portfolio showcasing high-end projects across various sectors (commercial, hospitality, residential, mixed-use).
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.
- A proactive, results-driven approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership, team management, and strategic thinking skills.
