My client a leading PMC is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Project Director to lead the successful delivery of complex construction projects in Riyadh.
This position requires a strong leader with a proven track record in managing large-scale projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
- Provide overall leadership and direction to the project team, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with the client, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
Project Planning & Execution:
- Oversee the development and implementation of the project master plan, including scope, schedule, and budget.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and challenges, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, codes, and standards.
Contract Management:
- Manage and administer construction contracts, including reviewing and negotiating variations and claims.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment certifications.
Quality Management:
- Implement and maintain a robust quality management system to ensure the project meets the highest standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits.
Team Management:
- Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary project team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Mentor and develop team members.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and authorities.
- Represent the project in meetings and presentations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 10 years in a Project Director or similar leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale construction projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Experience working in the Middle East, particularly in Saudi Arabia, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of local regulations and construction practices in Riyadh.
