My client a leading Architectural practice us seeking a highly experienced Senior Resident Architect to oversee the construction phase of a prestigious high-rise tower project in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered to the highest quality standards, adhering to design intent, and meeting project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 25 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong focus on high-rise buildings.
  • Must have delivered a high-rise project in Dubai, preferably as Resident Architect/Engineer.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in construction documentation and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Supervision:
    • Oversee daily construction activities to ensure compliance with approved construction drawings and specifications.
    • Monitor the quality of workmanship and materials used on site.
    • Resolve technical issues and challenges that arise during construction.
  • Design Coordination:
    • Coordinate with the design team to address design changes and modifications as required.
    • Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure they meet project requirements.
  • Client Liaison:
    • Maintain regular communication with the client to address their concerns and expectations.
    • Present progress reports and updates to the client.
  • Contract Administration:
    • Review contractor's claims and variations, ensuring they are justified and in accordance with the contract terms.
    • Monitor contractor's performance and adherence to project schedules.
  • Safety and Quality:
    • Enforce safety standards and regulations on site.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential safety hazards and quality issues.
