My client a leading mixed disciplinary consultancy is seeking a Resident Engineer with 12+ years of experience to oversee a Marine and Mangrove restoration project in Dubai.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the Engineer's Representative, supervising and coordinating construction works.
- Manage the construction team and oversee quality and financial control.
- Liaise with contractors and handle change procedures.
- Monitor progress, delays, and report to PMC and PWA.
- Provide claims analysis and participate in contract close-out.
- Coordinate construction and design issues, chair progress meetings, and ensure safety and HSE compliance.
- Communicate with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion, with broad and thorough knowledge of different FIDIC Contract editions.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong client management skills, with a focus on building and maintaining relationships.
- Ability to understand client needs and deliver projects that meet their expectations.
- UAE experience is a must.
- Experience in marine works, artificial islands, beaches, and reclamation is a must.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
